Gustavo Garzon is an Argentine director who has been living in Los Angeles since 1982. He is one of the most recognized in the international market today. In a conversation with PRODU, he revealed that he is just starting in the directorial roster of The Film House, a new experience that looks very optimistic.He has numerous awards such as: a Grammy for Best Music Video, along with a prestigious Billboard, MTV Latin America Award and Lo Nuestro award of Univision. He also won the Oye Univision award for Best Musical Video of the Year and also received his fifth Grammy nomination for a music video he directed for the Latino singer Chayanne.He has worked for brands such as Chivas Regal, McDonald’s, HSBC, Samsung, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, 7UP, Kimberly-Clark, P & G, DirecTV, to name a few.In the production house, Garzon will serve as writer and director. “And if you want … as a spiritual counselor, chef, travel agent, expert in yerba mate and dulce de leche” he added, laughing.This director who has an experience of almost 25 years, with many commercials and films; and about 200 music videos produced for artists such as Shakira, Ricky Martin, Gloria Estefan, Julio Iglesias and Johnny Cash; have allowed him to have the instinct to work more efficiently and pragmatically. “At the same time, this experience looses you to concentrate on what really counts: Create stunning images that leave sensations.”His strong visual style incorporates lyrical elements in his work, always following a surreal and poetic sense of narrative.
